My parents recently had to put their dog to sleep. They had her for 16 years and loved her deeply. When she died, I looked for a token in her memory, but I didn't find anything that felt quite right. When I saw Laurie's pet sculptures, I knew this would be the perfect gesture for my parents. I sent several photos to Laurie, and she sculpted the most beautiful figure that perfectly captured her — in looks, personality and spirit. It has a liveliness to it that shines through in her eyes and sweet face. Laurie is a brilliant artist, and I am honored to have her work both in my home and now to give to my Mom and Dad.
